Join us as we empower people to easily and freely digitize all the world’s assets on one open, programmable blockchain platform The Global Head of PR and Communications will be responsible for leading the strategic approach and execution of external media and public relations activities, including raising visibility around our technology, ecosystem projects and identifying opportunities to position Avalanche and our thought leaders for commentary on industry developments. You will advise leadership on key media issues, opportunities, considerations, reputation management, and more. You will oversee a team of direct and indirect reports, as well as external agency resources, and work to increase awareness and positively elevate our standing in the blockchain technology and crypto space. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Oversee key strategic media relations and opportunities, focusing on communications Serve as PR leader, driving the development of the wider PR and Communications Strategy including regional PR Build and maintain positive relationships with key media outlets and reporters to increase awareness and engagement Create press opportunities for company spokespeople that elevate the brand and executive thought leadership Serve as a trusted adviser and support in advance of media engagements Write and edit press releases, pitches, bylines, blog posts, abstracts, award nominations, and contributed content Leverage company intel reporting to understand company/industry positioning/PR strategy Support the news cycle and trends to facilitate more proactive pitching Respond to media inquiries, coordinate interviews, and provide accurate information

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Bachelor’s degree in communications or marketing 10+ years of experience in public relations and communications Experience managing external vendors and agency partners Experience in technology/ web3, blockchain/ crypto highly desired Proactive, creative thinker who is results-driven Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to prioritize multiple demands and meet deadlines Technology-savvy and have superior editing and relationship management skills

Salary Range: $217,800 to $272,200 (**This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.)
