Unlimit India recently received its in principal payments license from the Reserve Bank of India and is now looking for a General Manager to lead the Indian Payments business. Working out of a new modern state-of-the-art office, in Gurgaon, you will oversee and lead the Indian office and the growing team. You will be responsible for managing strategic relationships at the highest level across the industry and driving the growth of the business in India. This is a hands-on role where you are expected to be involved in all facets of the business, and be able to lead or delegate as necessary to get the job done.

Responsibilities
- Lead and represent Unlimit at the highest level
- Build on and manage your existing strategic relationships within the payments and banking sector and with the regulator
- Build and manage a team of payment professionals to carry out the strategic vision in India
- Develop, enlarge and leverage a portfolio of local payment schemes in the region
- Oversee the product roadmap for local payments and act as the point of communication with APM's representatives
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations, partners have knowledge of what payment method pricing should be in order to be competitive
- Partner with multiple stakeholder in the industry (e.g. vendors, regulators, Accountants, Lawyers, etc.)
- Contribute to the building of a positive and productive cultureÂ
- Continually advise the leadership team about current trends in the Indian market and provide input into any new or local product requirements
- Credibly advise the leadership team on Unlimits’ best route to market, and business priorities and strategy from the outset
- Lead the Indian management team
Experience and mindset
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in a recognized Indian Payments company (gateways, online payments, or with other payment providers)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Additional business education would be an advantage.
- Strong business development experience within the payment industry in India
- Attention to detail and the ability to communicate across all levels of management from C-Suite downwards
- Ability to travel across India and international as and when needed
- Leadership and Credibility
- You will have deep experience in the payments or the banking industry and an understanding of the digital and technology needs of a Global payment gateway
- Proactive and not Reactive
- Have a demonstrable strategic network of partners and be known in the industry
