Compliance – Backend Engineer Location: Remote, Philippines Team: Compliance Engineering As a Software Engineer on the Compliance Engineering team, you will play a key role in building and maintaining services that support compliance operations, integrating with internal systems and third-party providers. Youʼll collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, and compliance professionals to ensure our systems are robust, scalable, and secureKey responsibilities: • Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Kotlin • Build APIs that integrate with internal tools and third-party services • Work with relational and NoSQL databases to support large-scale data processing • Participate in system design discussions and contribute to technical solutions • Collaborate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality across the team • Write unit and integration tests to ensure high reliability and stability • Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for build and deployment workflows • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand compliance needs and translate them into technical solutions Required skills: • Solid experience with Java or Kotlin (1-3 years preferred) • Understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) • Basic knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn • Effective communication and collaboration skillsNice-to-Have:• Experience working with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) • Interest in blockchain or fintech industries • Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g., React) is a bonusCompensation and perks: • Competitive full-time salary based on experience • Remote (Work from Home setup) • An opportunity to grow with a fast-moving, global tech company  • Apple equipment provided by the company
