Remote Full Stack Jobs in Web3

At Disco, we are looking for engineers who want to use their skills and experience to build the future of identity in the metaverse. We are building tools that enable users to own and control their data and bring their reputation with them across web3 experiences, while maintaining privacy and autonomy. The user’s experience and interaction is at the forefront of our development process.

You will drive the development of our SDK and Components using Typescript, React and Node.js. Our SDK will enable our partners in the web2 and web3 space to build portable reputation for their users, who will exercise ownership and control of their identities across applications.

You will be able to contribute to the emerging global technology and standards of decentralised identity, storage and privacy.

What success looks like at Disco for you

• Within 1 month, you’ll participate in our onboarding process and help build out our core SDK components.
• Within 3 months, you’ll integrate multiple wallets, messaging capabilities into all our components for our web2 and web3 communities.
• Within 6 months, you’ll develop cross-storage capabilities for our front end, backend and SDK components.

Who you are

• You have experience developing and maintaining production level UI components, libraries and web services using Node.js, React & Typescript.
• You can manage CI/CD pipelines based on containers and cloud services.
• You have basic understanding of how blockchains and smart contracts work.
• You love collaborating with your team and can communicate easily verbally and written.
• You are excited about writing tests, seeking out the root cause when debugging software defects, and championing improvements that prevent future issues.
• You enjoy problem-solving with colleagues in the development process.
• You are passionate about people taking control of their identity.
• You take care to write clear and understandable documentation.

Bonus

• You have experience building components & libraries in the identity space.
• You have 7+ years experience with React, Node.js, Typescript and Express.
• You have experience building cross-platform frontend and backend SDK components.

We are a lean team excited and passionate about building the user-empowered metaverse. We are devoted identity zealots, and we prioritize autonomy and trust in all aspects of our operations.

We are remote first, and plan time each year to travel and spend time together. We have no formal vacation policy, but mandate that all teammates take at least one week per year away from work. We believe that everyone can do their best work when they are able to take time occasionally to rest and recharge.

At Disco, you will be working on the engineering team while collaborating with design, marketing and support to ensure we are putting our users at the forefront of the development process.
