The Team
The Design team at The Block plays a critical role in bringing innovative and user-centric products to market. We collaborate with cross-functional teams in support of our Product, Sales, and Marketing efforts. This provides us with great opportunities for our work to be exposed and engaged by users through a number of different touch points.
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our our growing Design team as an intern. This role will provide you with hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of fintech and crypto media, allowing you to refine your design skills and gain a deeper understanding of this rapidly evolving industry. You will work closely with the Design team to understand our brand tone-of-voice and work with existing >
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Design team to conceptualize and create visually compelling designs for our digital and print media channels.
- Help maintain brand consistency and ensure that all designs adhere to established guidelines.
- Assist in the development of graphics, illustrations, infographics, and other visual elements to enhance our content.
- Support the design team in creating engaging social media visuals, banner ads, and other promotional materials.
- Assist with photo editing, retouching, and optimizing images for various digital platforms.
- Provide general support to the design team, including organizing and archiving digital assets and assisting with other design-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field, or recent graduate looking for practical experience.
- Proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) - Figma is a plus.
- Experience creating decks in Google Slides or Keynote is a plus.
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Solid understanding of design principles, including typography, layout, and color theory.
- Familiarity or interest in the fields of fintech and cryptocurrency.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take feedback and iterate on designs.
$15 - $17 an hour
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise.
