Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a decentralized, permissionless naming system built on the Ethereum blockchain that enables human-readable names (like "myname.eth") to be linked to standard Ethereum addresses and other distributed systems.

As one of the first protocols built on Ethereum, ENS has enabled over 3 million registered .eth names, and over another 20 million ENS names from teams such as Coinbase, Uniswap, and Linea, as well as integrations with hundreds of other apps, wallets, protocols, and browsers in the crypto ecosystem.

ENS Labs has been driving the core development of the ENS protocol since 2018. We created the ENS app, open-source libraries, and core smart contracts. We are on a mission to make crypto-powered experiences as easy and accessible as browsing the web. Join us as we build the next iteration of our protocol, ENSv2, and pioneer a more decentralized, flexible, and scalable ENS for the future.

About the Role

We're looking for a Frontend Engineer to help build and maintain the user-facing applications that power Ethereum Name Service (ENS). In this role, you'll work on creating intuitive, seamless, and beautiful interfaces that allow users to interact with ENS and the decentralized web. As part of a small, agile team, you'll be directly involved in designing and building innovative frontend experiences that enhance the usability of ENS and drive the adoption of Web3 technologies.

If you are passionate about Web3 and want to help build the future of digital identity in an open, decentralized way, we encourage you to apply!

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to build intuitive web applications that integrate smoothly with wallets, smart contracts, and APIs.

  • Develop, test, and deploy high-quality web applications for ENS, focusing on delivering scalable and user-centric experiences.

  • Innovate by introducing new ideas, tools, and technologies to enhance our platform and iterate on existing features.

  • Collaborate with product and design teams to gather user feedback, analyze business needs, and translate them into impactful features and improvements.

  • Adhere to industry best practices for secure frontend development in the Web3 space.

  • Continuously improve testing frameworks, thoroughly testing your code with multiple test types. Stay informed on the latest Web3 development practices, tools, and trends.

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience as a frontend engineer, with a proven track record of building and deploying web applications.

  • Strong experience with Typescript and frontend development.

  • Ability to create clean, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the user experience.

  • Comfortable working with both structured design systems and crafting solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in debugging and resolving issues related to user input and edge cases.

  • Strong communication skills, able to coordinate effectively with designers, engineers, and external partners.

  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining high-quality code standards.

  • A genuine passion for Web3 technologies and an appreciation for and the values that underpin Web3 technologies (e.g. blockchain, smart contracts, and decentralized governance).

It’s a Plus, if You Have

  • Experience building decentralized applications (dApps) or working with decentralized protocols like ENS or other Ethereum-based projects.

  • Knowledge of Solidity or smart contract development.

ENS Labs is an equal-opportunity employer and embraces diversity. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment.
