About the team
The Finance team is made up of professionals supporting a wide spectrum of Cake DeFi’s financial management functions. Being one of the key pillars of the organization, the team oversees financial operations (accounts payable and receivable, record keeping, fixed assets tracking), planning and analysis (management reporting), regulatory compliance and reporting (annual audit, financial statements filing and tax compliance), and treasury management. We also work closely with other functional departments to support strategic decision making, accountability of customer funds, and leverage extensive experience to provide valuable insights to the organization’s executive team. In this rapidly developing industry, the Finance team is responsible for ensuring that the organization stays up-to-date on the latest regulations, industry standards, and internal control best practices to allow the organization to adapt to changing market conditions and emerging trends. What you’ll do
- Establish and maintain strong banking relationships with banks and financial institutions
- Develop and implement treasury policy that adequately controls treasury activities and supporting the smooth running of the daily operations
- Stay informed about market trends, new banking products, and services to identify opportunities for improving cash management and financial operations.
- Monitor and forecast cash flow positions to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations
- Evaluate investment opportunities, including short-term and long-term investment vehicles offered by banking institutions
- Monitor investment portfolios and coordinate with banking partners or investment managers to optimize returns while managing risks
- Manage day-to-day treasury operations related to cryptocurrencies, including trading, custody, and settlement processes
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of banking and crypto transactions and maintain proper documentation
What you’ll need
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field with atleast 5 years of experience
- Has a strong network of banking connections and relationships
- In-depth knowledge of banking products, services, and financial instruments.
- Strong knowledge of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and the broader crypto market ecosystem
- Familiarity with cash management practices, crypto exchanges, wallets, and custody solutions
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively manage banking relationships and influence favorable terms
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance considerations in the banking industry
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-cultural fintech environment
- Independent, self-motivated, excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and have the spirit to expand the treasury function of the business
