About the role

As VP of Operations you would be a part of a team of 80+ people, and you will report directly to the CEO.

As such, your contributions to the team will have a big impact.

You are ideally located in Singapore, though our work is 100% online.

The position is full-time.

Mission

Your mission will be to grow the operational backbone of the company and optimise it for scale. We aim to make Nansen the #1 workplace in crypto, and a well-functioning operations function is crucially to make this a reality.

Responsibilities

• Build out and lead 4 initial functions of the Operations team:
  • People
  • Customer Support
  • Legal and Compliance
  • IT Security & Productivity

• Define and implement robust operational processes to streamline business needs
• Manage external and in-house counsel for international expansion, setting up SPVs, review contracts, and more
• Coordinate and lend operational support throughout the business
• Manage rollout of new IT systems that increase productivity of the company
• Monitor and mitigate security risks
• Support adjacent functions: Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Finance

Are you the right person for this role?

The ideal candidate for us has:

• 8+ years experience in operations, preferably in a high-growth startup
• demonstrated team leadership skills
• passion for helping a fast-growing startup scale fast yet sustainably
• great written communication skills in English
• an eye for detail, but is pragmatic and able to get things done fast
• an ability to self-organize in a remote-first work environment
• Bonus: Personal interest in crypto, DeFi, and/or NFTs
• Bonus: Proficiency in other major languages (e.g. Chinese or Spanish)
