Key Responsibilities

Platform Design and Architecture:
  • Lead the design and architecture of the data platform including third-party & inhouse platforms, ensuring it meets current and future business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable solutions.

Data Integration and ETL Processes:
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of robust data integration and ETL processes.
  • Ensure seamless data flow between different systems and sources.
Platform Optimisation and Performance:
  • Implement and maintain best practices for data storage, retrieval, and processing to optimize platform performance.
  • Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary improvements.
Data Governance and Security:
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, accuracy.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data within the data platform.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide scalable solutions.
  • Communicate platform updates, changes, and improvements to relevant stakeholders.
Vendor Management:
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors providing data platform solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies related to data platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3 years+) in data platform management, including design, implementation, and optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of data architecture, ETL processes, and data integration.
  • Familiarity with data security, governance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
