Ripple is expanding its global footprint and looking to build the accounting function in our new Dublin, Ireland location. This dynamic team will be owning the accounting function for all operations in the EU and the UK. The Senior Accountant will be a key member that will be largely responsible for the financial close, GL accounting, and the build out of scalable financial processes. This is a great opportunity for an individual that enjoys improving and building financial processes, wearing multiple hats, being in the details and welcomes challenges.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Own various aspects of the monthly financial close process in collaboration with other team members and prepare month-end reconciliations
• Perform fluctuation analysis on expenses to analyze changes in accounts and ensure financial statement accuracy
• Assist the Controller with the build out of all major financial cycles including, but not limited to, Procure to Pay, Crypto Operations, Revenue recognition, and Financial Reporting
• Lead the financial audits with external audit teams and ensure timely statutory reporting
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Legal and other cross-functional teams to gather data, improve processes, and support business needs
• Work closely with the Controller on ad-hoc projects primarily focused on building & streamlining processes while maintaining financial statement accuracy

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor’s Degree (degree in Accounting/Finance is preferred)
• Minimum of 3+ years in the field of Accounting or equivalent (public accounting experience is a plus)
• Qualified Accountant preferred (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
• Proficient in the local EU and UK accounting principles and have an understanding of US GAAP
• Strong Excel skills
• Familiarity with enterprise accounting systems (Intacct and/or mid-tier accounting systems is a plus)
• We are a crypto company and looking to build breakthrough crypto solutions. A general interest and understanding the of the crypto industry will be a key to success
• Excellent time and project management skills and able to operate in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently through complex tasks and drives process improvement projects and initiatives.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and is able to present solutions to complex issues
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills and self-driven initiative
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
