Skills & experience we're looking for 👨💻
- 6- 8 years of relevant experience
- Have prior experience of building from ground up or significantly contributing to a large scale data platform.
- Should have strong hands-on experience of the Hadoop ecosystem and/or BigQuery, Kafka, Spark and other related technologies.
- Should be able to model and design modern data structures, SQL/NoSQL databases, Data Lakes, Cloud Data Warehouse
- Have prior experience in building transactional database structures.
- Should have experience in data modeling and developing SQL database solutions.
- Should have a strong software engineer experience and should be able to follow standard software development lifecycles.
- Proficient in working with Linux or other Posix operating systems, shell scripting, and networking technologies.
- Should have strong interpersonal skills and must be adept at communication and cross team collaboration.
You will 📲
- Provide leadership and direction for data engineering and design across multiple projects and functional areas.
- Lead and Manage a small team of data engineers and data analysts.
- Create robust and automated pipelines to ingest and process structured and unstructured data from different sources into a data platform using available batch and streaming solutions.
- Build and maintain ELT processes for various use cases for keeping the data platform up and running.
- Build RESTful APIs for querying and returning data to appropriate applications.
- Come up with and implement performance optimizations and best practices for scalable data models, pipelines and queries.
- Create and own common Datasets used across the organization and make it easily accessible to the entire organization. Create a path towards data democratization.
- Setup appropriate data visualization tools and optimize their performance.
- Work closely with BI & DS teams to cater to their data requirements.
