Blockdaemon is looking for a FinOps Specialist reporting to the Director of Digital Assets.The FinOps Specialist will work closely with the operations, revenue, and partnerships teams at Blockdaemon, focusing on a range of processes, tracking, steps, and data-driven decision making as we further scale our quickly growing business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare monthly financial reconciliation reports related to the Company’s various income streams (e.g., staking, DeFi, etc.) and associated token holdings
• Create and lead new processes to satisfy the Company’s evolving month, quarter, and year-end financial reporting requirements
• Conduct analysis of cryptocurrency transactions using both open-source and third-party tools
• Track and report on key performance metrics and indicators in support of our revenue and growth goals
• Maintain accurate and detailed reporting on various balance sheet metrics as related to digital asset holdings
• Support a range of crypto-asset accounting and financial priorities including calculating and tracking various revenue models and potential true-ups
• Analyze large amounts of information quickly and effectively to reduce complexity and make actionable recommendations for Blockdaemon
• Support the selection and implementation of sales, balance sheet and tax systems and tools, working closely with teams across the company and external vendors in meeting company objectives
• Provide key information to auditors and help prepare reports to bridge gaps in the year end process

Skills and Required Qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or related fields preferred
• 1+ years of experience in basic finance operations, accounting fundamentals (role may shift depending on experience level)
• 1+ year(s) of crypto experience required
• Foundational knowledge of blockchain technology is a prerequisite for this role, with industry experience in a formal role being a differentiator
• Experience using crypto accounting tools is preferred
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytic, problem solving and interpersonal skills appropriate for interfacing with startup teams
• Exceptional communication, prioritization and project management skills
• Comfort working in an early stage start up where we are experiencing accelerated growth in a constantly changing environment
• Attention to detail while being able to think and analyze holistically and at a high level
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
• Team player and go-getter mentality

US salary range: $70,000 - $80,000
