The Metaplex Foundation is looking for a Head of BD & Partnerships to lead the next phase of growth for the Metaplex Protocol and ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded team player who can inform protocol strategy and execute on key initiatives through partnerships and collaboration with stakeholders across the ecosystem. This person will have a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact and shape the future of digital assets.

Responsibilities:

• Drive usage of Metaplex programs by ecosystem projects such as marketplaces, launchpads, games, social apps, DePIN projects, etc
• Develop and execute growth strategies for digital asset scaling solutions across the SVM, including driving adoption of new Metaplex products
• Form strategic partnerships that contribute to the growth of the Metaplex Protocol
• Oversee Metaplex Foundation’s grant strategy including allocations, structuring, and strategic considerations
• Serve as a key point of contact for ecosystem teams, token holders, and other community members
• Collaborate with Marketing to distribute protocol updates including relevant KPIs and product release information to key stakeholders in order to increase awareness of the protocol
• Work closely with Engineering, Marketing, and Product to develop go-to-market strategies
  
  

Requirements

What you bring:

• 7+ years of relevant work experience including prior experience in a business development / partnerships, ecosystem growth, or strategy role at an L1/L2 blockchain or similar (e.g. portfolio support at a venture firm)
• Prior experience completing an investment banking, consulting, private equity, or similar training program is a plus
• Deep passion for crypto, NFTs, and blockchain technology, preferably with an interest in Solana
• Ability to quarterback and execute deals from start-to-finish including managing key internal and external stakeholders across a variety of functions
• Team player that’s comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment while wearing many different hats
• Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form
• Self-starter who’s detailed oriented with the ability to handle ambiguity
  
  

Benefits

Compensation and benefits: The base compensation range for this role is $175,000 - $250,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in the Metaplex Foundation’s token incentive plan. Final offer amount will be at the Metaplex Foundation’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations.
