Cryptopia is the first fully decentralized, on-chain game that runs without central game servers. We make onboarding as easy as possible by our integrated multisig wallet, our free-to-play-and-earn model, and our gasless solution on the SKALE chain.
Cryptopia is a mix of Civilization (strategy), Tycoon games (business simulation) and RPGs. All resources are tokenized, all game items are NFTs. We use blockchain as a key component: everything that represents value or determines player effectiveness is on-chain. We have a gaming model that ties players that spend/purchase to players that don't want/cannot spend. These two groups need each other to progress. They create quests and jobs for each other and pay rewards to each other. There is a real player-to-player economy (our vision of decentralization: user-generated content in a community-owned game).
We are seeking an experienced Community and Marketing Growth Lead to expand our global community, with the ultimate goal to increase the number of engaged gamers for Cryptopia. In this role, you will oversee both the Community and Marketing teams and report directly to the CEO.
The role calls for a mix of strategic insight, client engagement proficiency, and hands-on implementation skills to effectively translate community and marketing growth strategies into tangible outcomes.
Responsibilities
You grow our community in a sustainable way. This means that just driving traffic to our ecosystem is something you would never contemplate. You have a plan, you have targets, KPIs, and ways to adjust. In other words, you work in a systematic way and continuously evaluate the results until you meet the targets.
- Create strategies aimed at expanding our presence within online communities on platforms like Twitter/X, Discord, Telegram, and Coinmarketcap.Â
- Produce engaging and interactive content incorporating threads, polls, graphics, and interactive features to captivate our audience.
- Engage with influencers, industry experts, key opinion leaders, and promising or strategic web3 projects on Twitter/X, Telegram, and Discord to expand our reach and establish strategic partnerships. Collaborate closely with influencers and community advocates to co-create organic content.
- Spearhead growth marketing initiatives as both a strategist and a hands-on individual contributor.
- Utilize a data-driven methodology in everything you do, involving hypothesis formulation, test implementation, and efficiency enhancement.
- Lead the Community team (7) and Marketing (2) teams.
Requirements
You are a seasoned web3 veteran, preferrably with a gaming background. At the minimum, you are a gamer yourself. You believe in fully on-chain gaming, player-run economies, and fair exchange of value. You have a deep understanding of decentralized concepts or are able to get quickly up to speed. You have a can-do mentality, work organized, and get things done.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Web3/Crypto community or marketing is required, with at least one year in a lead role as a Community or Marketing Manager.
- Proven track record of growing and managing communities.
- In-depth knowledge of web3 gaming, jargon, projects, and culture, with a special emphasis on Twitter/X, Telegram, and Discord.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a diverse audience and set the tone in online communities.
- Extensive familiarity with growth and analytics tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Sprout Social or comparable social analytics tools, Facebook/Instagram Ads Manager, Twitter/X Ad Manager, and TaskOn/Galxe/Zealy like tools.
- Strong learning ability and self-motivation.
