About us

Founded in 2015, OpenZeppelin is the premier crypto cybersecurity technology and services company, trusted by the most used DeFi and NFT projects in the world.

Our mission is to protect the open economy, safeguarding tens of billions of dollars in funds for leading crypto organizations includingAave, Coinbase, Compound, Ethereum Foundation, TheGraph and many others.

The OpenZeppelin team, spread across 30+ countries in the world, is responsible for creating the most popular Open Source Library for Smart Contract development in the world with over 15 million downloads! The expertise we've built along the years allowed us to uncover major security vulnerabilities for some of the most well known players in the market.

With the success of our products, our security audit work, and the open source educational efforts, we are setting the industry standards for secure systems of a hyper-fast-growing industry and we're looking for more folks to help us on our mission.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated security analyst to join the AI team. This individual will investigate and curate security data for AI security solutions, contributing to the development and improvement of our AI models. The successful candidate will be passionate about blockchain, security, and AI, and will play a crucial role in advancing our organization's AI capabilities.

As a Smart Contract Security Analyst, you will work closely with security researchers and AI/Data engineers, so the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively is crucial. This is a great and rare opportunity to use your skills to help shape the direction for three of the fastest-moving industries: blockchain, security, and AI.

What you'll be doing

  • Data Quality Assurance: Label unexamined solidity code, review and verify accuracy of existing data labels, and correct errors to ensure high-quality data for AI model training.
  • Data Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis on security data sets. Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies to inform the labeling process.
  • AI Model Evaluation and Improvement: Collaborate with AI engineers to evaluate and improve AI security detection models.
  • Threat Intelligence Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest security vulnerabilities and attack vectors specific to smart contracts. Apply that knowledge to propose new AI detection opportunities, help establish standards around risk assessment for smart contracts, and improve the data labeling processes.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of data labeling processes and tools.
  • Reporting: Regularly report on the status of data labeling efforts, including any challenges encountered and how they were resolved.

You have

  • Hands-on and practical experience in one or more of the following areas: software development, cyber security, mathematics.
  • Proficiency in Solidity.
  • 1+ year experience in a security role, preferably with experience or interest in AI or machine learning.
  • Familiarity with smart contract testing and auditing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data management and basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse and remote team.
