Responsibilities

The incumbent of this role will join our global Finance Digital Transformation team and be responsible to implement the finance transformation agenda to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our internal finance and accounting systems and processes. The candidate will share a passion for tackling complexity, embracing new challenges and building a digital Finance ecosystem that can scale through several orders of magnitude.
In this role you will...

• Provide technical leadership and expertise for architecting new scalable data platform
• Contribute to the long term technical vision and roadmap
• Design & Develop batch and streaming solutions using various technologies
• Responsible for evaluating technologies and approaches for ingestion, transformation and storage
• Mentor engineers on data architecture and promote best practices
• Effectively communicate complex features and systems in detail

• Experience with application containerization (Docker / Kubernetes / AWS ECS or EKS)
• Experience with CI/CD in particular with AWS managed services: CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline and CodeArtifact.
• Experience with ETL processing in a cloud environment (nice to have would be AWS Glue and Athena experience). Important here would be Python experience with Pandas libraries. Also nice would be PySpark.
• Cloud storage in particular AWS S3. Knowledge about storage formats such as Parquet and JSON. Schema specifications languages like Avro would be good also.
• Streaming and integration technologies such as Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis
• Security experience with AWS IAM
• Airflow or Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA), experience would also be good.
