The Sui Foundation is seeking a full-stack engineer with experience in web development to join our growing team. As a full-stack engineer at the Sui Foundation, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new features, as well as maintaining and improving existing code for our Developer Portal, Community Hub, and under the direction of the Ecosystem Director.
You will also be supporting new projects and programs as the foundation grows. With a strong understanding of the software development life cycle, you will work with the Engineering Manager to design and implement best practices, CI/CD workflows, and development guidelines that help ensure the team and its projects can scale comfortably.
This role is based primarily on Web2 technologies, but involves collaboration with the Web3 engineering team and provides the opportunity to develop a Web3 skillset.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using modern web technologies and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy new features.
- Optimize web applications for speed and scalability.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and development guidelines.
- Deploy and maintain production systems, especially across cloud computing platforms.
- Hands-on experience in web development.
- Strong proficiency in modern web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React.
- Good experience with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL (e.g. Elasticsearch).
- Experience using cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP and/or Azure.
- A security-first mindset that enables applications to be built on solid foundations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in a team and shipping software.
