You will work from Brookfield’s new Manhattan West Plaza, just steps from Moynihan Station.As our Accountant, you will be responsible for making informed financial decisions, improving budgeting, and remaining compliant while maintaining and providing financial reports and records. Other duties include but are not limited to, general ledgers, payroll, and inventory control. You will work closely with the management team on day-to-day responsibilities and operations.Join us and love what you do best!Responsibilities Recording transactions in the general ledger Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy Organize and update financial records (Ledgers and Journal Entries) Prepare, record, and process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipts Perform monthly bank statement reconciliation Prepare and process payroll Creating financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Defining budgets, benchmark KPIs such as COGS ratio and prime costs, and tracking performance toward goals Completing tax returns Performing audits Inventory control management Bring fresh ideas and accountability

Skills & QualificationsAt least three years of restaurant accounting experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred Relevant NYC tax and payroll compliance Strong mathematical and analytical skills Proficient in MS Office, POS systems (e.g., Toast POS), and Paylocity is preferred.
