Echo Base is seeking a dynamic Chief Operations Officer (COO) to energize our operational landscape. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the forefront of optimizing our processes and driving growth in the ever-evolving crypto industry. Partnering closely with our CEO and executive team, you will help translate visionary ideas into actionable strategies, ensuring our organization runs like a well-oiled machine.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning, Execution, and Operational Management:
- Craft and implement forward-thinking operational strategies that propel Echo Base
toward its ambitious goals.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives, focusing on forecasting, resource allocation, and risk
management to fuel our growth trajectory.
- Supervise daily operations, ensuring seamless workflows across departments while
Maintaining an adaptable and responsive environment.
- Establish and uphold operational policies and procedures that enhance efficiency and
scalability.
Team Leadership, Risk Management, and Compliance:
- Build and inspire a high-performing operations team that thrives in a fast-paced setting.
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability, providing mentorship
and growth opportunities for team members.
- Identify and tackle operational risks head-on, ensuring compliance with the industry
regulations and standards.
- Develop robust security protocols to safeguard our digital assets and operational
infrastructure.
Technology, Infrastructure, and Financial Oversight:
- Collaborate with tech leads to ensure our operational infrastructure is primed for
scalability and innovation.
- Assess and integrate cutting-edge technologies that boost operational efficiency and
effectiveness.
- Team up with Finance to ensure operational budgets are met and provide insightful
financial reports related to operations.
- Monitor and analyze operational KPIs to drive performance and resource optimization.
Interview Process:
- This role will be vetted on a deep level to ensure an even-keeled, calm, and composed leader; both video and an in-person interview will be held with the CEO.
- The position calls for strong work ethics that balance proactivity, accountability, with consistent efforts to go above and beyond.
- Ideally, we will be looking for a candidate from the East Coast, preferably in NYC.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
(Master’s preferred).
- A minimum of 12-18 years of senior-level operations management experience, preferably in the crypto and fintech sectors.
- A strong grasp of blockchain technology and the unique operational challenges it presents.
- Proven success in leading and scaling operations within a rapidly changing environment.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a talent for building trust and inspiring clarity in teams.
