About the Company
Moss is on a mission to change the way corporations connect with their customers. Our platform provides a multi-chain, token-gated platform for companies to reach their web3 audience in a way that is safe, secure, and data-rich. We’ve built our beta over at www.moss.social, and are already working with several large corporate clients to roll-out our v2.
We’re a world-class team with previous experience at Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Goldman Sachs, MassChallenge, and other top companies.
About the Role
At Moss, you'll have an opportunity to build a best-in-class web3 communications and data analytics platform that will change the experience for consumers all over the world. By joining us at this early stage you will help make fundamental decisions that will shape Moss’s future direction.
We are urgently looking for an Engineering Lead to spearhead our v2 development roadmap, and scale-out to our growing client list. In addition to being the technical brains behind our product, we are looking for someone that will take ownership of the product, challenge us in meetings, and come up with fantastic ideas that will reshape consumer engagement (no easy feat!)
Responsibilities
- Work with the product and business development teams to iterate and roll out new feature updates
- Read on-chain activity data to develop a user data analytics platform for community managers
- Format and analyze user metrics tracking across the application
- Build and develop a framework to integrate tokenized incentives for users/communities
- Address any bugs reported by our customers
- Mentor and develop a team of engineers
Qualifications
We don’t have explicit minimum qualifications, as we want someone that is passionate about beautiful consumer experience, a strong interest in web3, and loves building in a nascent blue-sky industry.
However, for context, these are some of the qualities that we are looking for:
- Experience in fullstack development. Experience building Web Services, SQL, CSS, React, JavaScript and jQuery
- Experience or are open to learning to build blockchain applications / smart contracts (e.g. in Solidity, Rust)
- You've worked on consumer platforms with a focus on consumer UI/UX or enterprise-grade security
- CS Degree or equivalent experience
We are building fast, so we are looking for someone who is able to fully commit to Moss. If you are a good fit, and perform well, you have the potential to take-over as our CTO in the future. Salary and equity terms can be negotiated further.
What does a React developer in web3 do?
A React developer in the context of web3 is a developer who is using the React JavaScript library to build user interfaces for decentralized applications (dApps) that run on the Ethereum blockchain
These dApps often use smart contracts to facilitate transactions and other interactions on the Ethereum network
Overall, the role of a React developer in web3 involves using your skills in React development to help build cutting-edge decentralized applications that leverage the power of the Ethereum blockchain
As a React developer in web3, some of your responsibilities might include:
- Integrating the dApp with the Ethereum blockchain. This might involve using tools like web3.js and Ethers.js to connect to the Ethereum network and interact with smart contracts.
- Building the user interface for a dApp using React. This could involve creating components for the various elements of the dApp, such as buttons, forms, and other input elements.
- Implementing features that are specific to decentralized applications, such as handling cryptocurrency transactions and displaying data from the blockchain in a user-friendly way.
- Collaborating with other members of the development team, such as blockchain engineers and designers, to ensure that the dApp functions properly and meets the needs of the end users.
