About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Counterparty Credit Risk Senior Manager to join our dynamic risk management team. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated in the digital asset space, with a particular focus on lending products. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to monitor market trends, assess risk exposure, and develop strategies to manage and mitigate those risks. The Counterparty Credit Risk Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that our risk management framework remains robust and aligned with the evolving market landscape.

What You’ll Be Doing 

Independently lead due diligence on a range of institutional counterparty types (trading firms, hedge funds, asset managers, banks, corporates) to determine credit terms, risk ratings, and credit limits.

Monitor exposures against a suite of single name and platform limits, utilizing various tools to assess changes in credit quality, portfolio composition, and adherence to risk limits and policies.

Proactively identify exposure concentrations, determine risk mitigating actions, and escalate to senior risk management.

Contribute to our risk identification, measurement, and monitoring capabilities, drawing on prime brokerage industry best practice.

Conduct pro-forma portfolio risk assessments in response to new lending and/or trading requests.

Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects, model reviews, internal audits, and regulatory examinations.

Evaluate risks within potential new product offerings as part of the firm's "new product" assessment process.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to expand knowledge and expertise.

Liaise with Legal to negotiate relevant documentation.

What We Look For In You 

Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Economics, Math, Statistics, or Finance

Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within or covering the prime brokerage business at a large financial institution

Extensive knowledge of prime brokerage business, products, and risk management framework

Experience performing counterparty credit analysis on a range of financial institutions; good understanding of investment strategies, products, and traditional finance market structure; understanding of crypto products and market structure a plus

Ability to work well with cross-functional teams from Product, Sales, Risk, Technology, Operations, Legal and Compliance, along with the ability to self-start and work independently

Detail oriented with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills
