Backend Production Support Engineer (Mandarin Speaking)
Responsibilities
- Provide operation support in trading hours, handle daily operation procedures.
- Proactive monitor the application status and resolve the issues
- Be part of development team, develop tools for operation and improve system observability
- Automate and streamline operations and processes to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborating with teammates and escalating to subject matter experts as necessary.
- Build strong relationships with different operation groups.
- Communicate effectively with developers and internal stakeholders regarding infrastructure/platform issues and updates.
- Work with the SRE team, provide monitoring feedback to improve observability.
- Document operation procedure and create a knowledge base to make operation scalable and maintainable.
- Coordinate with vendors, internal stakeholder to ensure proper installation, configuration and testing of application service
- Proper change management, evaluate the risk of the changes and come up with a backup plan.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, particularly with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid experience in a Linux environment and relevant support tools.
- Experience with shell scripting, Ruby, and SQL technologies.
- Familiar with monitoring systems and logging systems (e.g. Datadog, Sumologic, OpenTelemetry).
- Familiarity with exchange platform domain knowledge
- Experience in GitOps with ArgoCD is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to proactively identify issues before they escalate.
- Detail-oriented with strong ownership of work and the ability to multitask across simultaneous projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to cover US trading sessions.
- Embody a proactive and positive mindset, demonstrating a strong "can-do" attitude
Desired Skills
- Experience with version control systems (Git is a plus).
- Familiarity with SDLC processes and a proactive approach to process automation.
- Quick learner with a demonstrated aptitude for acquiring new technologies.
