Senior Back-End Engineer (Python, Javascript, Rust)
Responsibilities
- Build services critical to our dApps using Javascript or Python.
- Write production-ready scripts based on requirements and draft scripts in Javascript or Python.
- Add new functionality to Volumeâs Python and Javascript SDKs.Â
- Maintain the backend infrastructure for Volumeâs Defi dApps and Bots.Â
- Maintain services and scripts for the marketing team infrastructure with Mixpanel, Storyblock, and Discourse.
- Write high-quality, reusable, and well-tested code in order to meet our company goals.
- Demonstrate security and secret management across numerous services.Â
Requirements
- Excellent JavaScript skillsÂ
- Excellent Python skills
- Good Rust skills
- Proficient knowledge of GoÂ
- Degree in Computer Science
- Experience with Node.js, Docker, DBMS technology including postgresSQL and SQLlite and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcache Â
- Familiarity with blockchain governance or enthusiasm to learn.
- Team player and are comfortable reviewing others' code and implementing feedback from others on your work. Â
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Comfortable with asynchronous written communication, synchronous video calls, pair programming, etc. Â
