What we're looking for

We are looking for a technical program manager who is passion about the IPFS/Filecoin that we are working on and organize the work efforts performed by teams (Sentinel) to get to our objectives.

This involves participating in roadmapping, making sure that information and objectives are correctly sourced and distilled into actionable items, creating quarterly project plans, running team meetings and making sure they are high-value and help everyone focus on their priorities. Tracking progress of different efforts and syncing with technical leads to decide on prioritization and weekly planning.

Sentinel’s Mission is to provide software and data for monitoring and analysis of the Filecoin chain. And as part of the NetOps Team we help to grow adoption and growth of the decentralized Internet by building software infrastructure for implementation of the Filecoin, IPFS, and protocols, and operating them as services that can be consumed in a secure, reliable, and scalable manner. We succeed through team work, favoring simplicity over sophistication, and fostering a sense of community

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed mid and long-term roadmaps.
  • Own organization of work, sprints, issue triaging, team meetings. Maintain project board(s).
  • Ensure engineers know what the current priorities are and are working on them.
  • Make sure that ideas, endeavors and any work is correctly captured in issues and tracked.
  • Pro-actively communicate to the wider teams the successes, failures and blockers.
  • Engage with the community to make sure that requests and issues are correctly captured, assigned and prioritized.
  • Collect and maintain metrics to track velocity, quality and state of team efforts.

Qualifications

  • You have at least 5 years experience in TPM in Infrastructure and Data.
  • You have experience in a startup.
  • Strong technical background, with lots of familiarity with infrastructure, software and devops project management. Need to be able to follow and understand technical topics.
  • Experience being TPM in similar sized teams (5-10 individuals).
  • L4-type of candidate (demonstrable capacity to lead work independently)
