The Opportunity

The CoinDesk Media team is looking for a Senior Product Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of how our customers engage with our cryptocurrency price and data platforms and APIs. This role is not just about managing products; it's about crafting a gateway that connects users to the dynamic world of cryptocurrency data. You will be at the helm of ensuring our platforms are not only robust and reliable but also intuitively navigable, allowing users to effortlessly search, understand, and leverage cryptocurrency data. This is an opportunity to influence how the world interacts with crypto data by making it accessible, understandable, and actionable.

This role reports to the Director of Product Management.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that enhances the usability, functionality, and appeal of our cryptocurrency price and spot data platforms and APIs.
• Deliver platforms that are the epitome of user-friendliness, allowing seamless navigation, searching, and understanding of complex cryptocurrency data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge technologies and innovative features that elevate the user experience in data interaction.
• Drive continuous improvement of the platforms based on user feedback, market trends, and technological advancements.
• Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept through launch, ensuring that each phase meets our high standards for quality and user-centricity.
• Ensure that our data presentation aligns with the evolving needs of our diverse user base, from casual investors to seasoned financial professionals.
• Uphold the CoinDesk standard for accuracy, reliability, and transparency in all data-related products and services.
• Work with our CoinDesk Indices team to integrate crypto index data into the CoinDesk website and find opportunities to improve index product and brand awareness.

What You Have

• Proven track record of at least 4+ years in product management, preferably in data platforms, APIs, or related fields in the financial or cryptocurrency sector.
• Strong understanding of cryptocurrency and/or financial markets, data structures, and the unique challenges and opportunities in this space.
• A passion for the crypto, web3, blockchain, and/or AI space and are a relentless consumer of industry-related digital content.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying user needs and translating them into compelling product features.
• Capable of working both fast and right and without viewing them as trade-offs. You understand when things require precision and accuracy and when 80% gets you to the desired outcome.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience in agile product development methodologies.

CoinDesk Inc and CoinDesk Indices Inc. are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $135,000 - $160,000 + discretionary annual target bonus + benefits. Offered salary may vary based on geographic location, including city and state, and will be reflective of job-related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience.
