About Celestia Labs
Celestia is the first modular blockchain network. By decoupling consensus from execution, Celestia enables anyone to easily deploy their own blockchain, without the overhead of bootstrapping a new consensus network. Blockchains on Celestia are free from constraints, making them scalable, sovereign, and secure.

About the Team
The Celestia Labs Team is remote first and highly distributed, with English as our primary language for communication. We are looking for self-starters that are excited about working in a fast paced startup environment. We do not require team members to live in specific timezones, but much of the team lives and works in the European timezones. As such, team members are expected to be available as needed for team and company events that are scheduled. Generally these are scheduled between 12pm-5pm UTC.

About You
As a Developer Advocate at Celestia Labs you will focus on technical writing, community support, content creation, program support, and developer tooling. Your key responsibilities include maintaining and writing documentation, developing tutorials, assisting developers with debugging, creating video content, supporting and creating programs like hackathons and workshops, and improving the developer experience with new tools.

The essential skills for this role include proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript framework, React, Nextjs, Node.js, and Solidity. Additional experience with Golang or Rust (or both) is preferred, but not required.

Perks

    • Flexible and remote work environment with multiple onsites each year
    • Competitive salary and meaningful long-term compensation package
    • Stipends for home office, coworking space, professional and personal growth
    • 4 weeks annual vacation

Responsibilities

    • Technical Writing: Support maintenance of the documentation for Celestia and Rollkit docs
    • Tutorial Management: Work on new tutorials that focus on sovereign and EVM applications and use the latest full-stack development tools, hack on cool new applications on rollups and testnets, and ensure existing tutorials are up-to-date.
    • Modular Academy: Support building and maintaining an academy and write courses for it from available docs.
    • Community Support: Help developers debug issues for our hackathons and other channels like Discord, Telegram, and Github, triage issues with Celestia core engineering teams and help by writing Github tickets for bugs and feature requests.
    • Content: Create video content going over different integrations and how to use them, application development, and developer toolings using the modular stack.
    • Programs: Support our existing programs (hackathons, conferences, events) and create new programs (capture the flag (CTF) challenges, hackathons and workshops and office hours).
    • Developer Toolings: Build new developer toolings for improving the developer experience and test out other team developer toolings and work on documenting them to provide support to our ecosystem.

Who You Are

    • Has an understanding of Celestia and modular blockchains
    • Experience with Javascript and Typescript frameworks, Solidity, Node.js, Nextjs and React
    • Experience with Golang or Rust experience
    • Experience with or understanding of Celestia software (celestia-node or celestia-app)
    • Experience with or understanding of the Cosmos-SDK
While experience in the blockchain space is preferred – having general excitement about web3 and modular blockchain technology is a must!
