Responsibilities

• Responsible for the effective implementation of overall risk strategy for the business
• Overseeing daily operations to ensure the company operates within the risk appetite at all time while meeting business goals
• Establish and implement an operational risk and relevant governance framework to ensure a robust, controlled environment and create an operational KRI Matrix alongside different stakeholders 
• Defining the risk roadmap, leading the adoption and development of new technologies, processes and continuous improvement of existing risk practices
• Conduct regular audits and self-risk assessments for the business
• Identifying and implementing appropriate controls and risk mitigants
• Focusing on internal compliance policy review, including ongoing assessments, assisting with compliance review, internal audit reviews and ongoing or ad hoc reviews
• Act as a second line of defense to monitor, identify, measure and report all risk-related matters
• Provide incident management oversight and support the business owners in responding to investigations, resolving incident reports and escalations
• Ensure business models and supporting systems continually mitigate risk to maintain the protection and integrity of data and resources
• Guide the business on operational risk management; Promote a risk-aware culture across the company by organising educational and training workshops 
• Acting as the key liaison with relevant regulatory authorities on risk & compliance matters

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years experience in a risk, compliance or regulatory function, experience working with any regulated financial services business in legal or compliance roles preferred. Crypto experience is a plus
• Strong practical knowledge of risk frameworks and operational risk reporting experience
• Interest in Cryptocurrencies, Blockchain and trading or finance/ banking/ payments industry
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Capable of working under pressure
