DESCRIPTION
As our new VFX Artist you are looking to build stunning effects for our project. Implementing both technical and artistic skill, you will be at the frontier of pushing the visual quality of our AAA titles while working alongside the Design and Programming teams to ensure the game is artistically beautiful and engaging.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creating a variety of visual effects using different techniques in Unreal Engine 5
- Creation of all related and necessary components for visual effects. Meshes, textures, simple animations
- Implementing all animations in the engine and tweaking them for the best interaction with characters and the environment
- Comes up with creative ideas and solutions and communicates them to the leads
- Works with the lead to create a plan and schedule
- Proactively communicates task status to peers, customers, and leads
- Regularly follows up on the status of dependencies that are holding up the tasks
- Corrects defects discovered by QC or customers in a timely fashion
- Exhibit self-assessment on how to improve performance
- Works within the technical limitations of a variety of game engines
- Matches the required art >
- Works closely with the direction of Creative Leadership to create high-quality visual effects
- Collaborates with Graphics Technical Artist to ensure necessary technology/features are present in order to reach the visual benchmarks
- Creates and maintains workflow documentation for your team's content
- Shares artistic knowledge with artists, and supports them when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to establish clear communication between departments
- Ability to be proactive and think outside the box
- Proficient experience using 3d software (Max, Maya etc)
- Good knowledge of Unreal Engine experience
- Experience with Substance Painter/Designer
- Good use of Houdini
- Excellent communication skills and fluent or business level English - written and spoken
