Paradigm is a San Francisco-based investment firm focused on crypto and blockchain-related technologies across the globe.  We are a registered investment adviser with the SEC and make investments in companies and protocols at all stages, ranging from early-stage venture financing rounds to growth equity to liquid token assets.  Paradigm was co-founded in 2018 by Matt Huang (former Partner at Sequoia Capital) and Fred Ehrsam (Co-founder of Coinbase), and since then we’ve been hard at work building a world-class team to support our portfolio of 30+ companies and the crypto ecosystem globally, with the broader goal of accelerating crypto’s ability to improve people’s lives worldwide.

It's an unusual time to work in crypto. The widespread adoption of blockchains - tools that can serve as decentralized, distributed mechanisms to store value - is going to have an impact far beyond today’s focus on new assets like Bitcoin.

The global regulatory environment for crypto is rapidly taking shape, and regulators have already proven that they can turn from supporters to skeptics on a dime.  It’s critical that the companies in our portfolio can explore an as-yet-undefined technical space while still maintaining confidence that they’re operating within the law.  Given that, we’re looking to build a team of the finest analysts, strategists, and tacticians who can define and execute on a strategy to construct a policy framework that allows crypto projects to thrive worldwide. 

You don't need to be a master-class expert on crypto to fill this role; energy, thoughtfulness, creativity,  a good team attitude, and an interest in embracing and learning about new and nascent technologies are all that is needed. We're hoping to build the first great class of crypto policy experts at Paradigm, people who can chart the course for policymakers and the industry the world over.
