Magic Eden is the leading NFT marketplace, and we’re looking for a dedicated Data Scientist to focus on optimizing and expanding our marketplace operations. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality data insights, ensuring robust data quality, and driving actionable strategies that help maintain Magic Eden’s position as a leader in the NFT ecosystem. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, exhibit a natural curiosity for uncovering data-driven opportunities, and demonstrate a strong understanding of the NFT and crypto space.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with NFT teams to deliver tailored, high-quality data analysis for a multi-chain environment

• Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends and opportunities, driving strategic product and business decisions

• Ensure data integrity and reliability through rigorous quality checks and troubleshooting.

• Respond quickly to ad-hoc data requests and provide actionable insights to stakeholders

• Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards to monitor marketplace performance across chains

• Proactively explore data to uncover growth opportunities and propose innovative, data-driven initiatives

• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring actionable outcomes

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience in data science or analytics, preferably in marketplaces, crypto, or tech startups

• Advanced SQL skills for querying large datasets; familiarity with blockchain data and tools like Dune Analytics or The Graph is a plus.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, R) for data analysis and automation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and derive meaningful insights

• Interest and understanding of NFTs, blockchain ecosystems, and marketplace dynamics.

• Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for problem-solving and a keen interest in data quality and validation

• Excellent communication skills to clearly present complex data and recommendations to diverse audiences

The compensation for this position will vary based on geography and other factors (including years and depth of experience and expertise, and other business considerations). The base salary range for this role for the United States is $130,000 - $150,000. Additionally, this full-time role is eligible to receive benefits, as well as participate in Magic Eden’s equity plan. Final offer package will be at the company’s sole discretion
