About Us

Crypto.com is on a mission to put Cryptocurrency in Every Wallet™. We are building the Exchange and advanced trading products professional and power users depend on - alongside the Crypto.com App, Visa Card, and Onchain Wallet. Founded in 2016 on the belief that controlling your money, data, and identity is a basic human right. Crypto.com serves more than 150 million customers worldwide.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Director to own trading infrastructure product for Crypto.com Exchange - matching, market data, order lifecycle rails, connectivity, and the reliability/capacity bar that every trading surface sits on. Volume, trust, and share of wallet live or die on whether the book, the feeds, and the path from order to fill hold under load - and whether we can ship infra at the pace a growth-mode Exchange demands.

Your mandate is to make Exchange trading rails the default desk infrastructure for the traders we target: product strategy and roadmap for trading infra, platform capabilities experience teams and makers/takers depend on, cross-functional execution with eng, SRE, risk, compliance, and ops, and outcomes that show up in latency, availability, capacity headroom, and product velocity.

You will run your roadmap with independence. You make the call on prioritization, tradeoffs, and what ships when the bar isn’t there yet. You report to VP, Product Exchange, who sets Exchange strategy. You own the how and the when.

If you’ve owned trading systems product at an exchange, brokerage, or advanced trading platform - matching, market data, OMS/order rails, or connectivity under real load - this will feel familiar. The difference is you’ll be doing it in crypto at Exchange scale, where the rails are still being written and the playbook is yours to own.

What You'll Actually Do:

  • Own the Exchange trading-infra product roadmap. You are the DRI for the charter. You set milestones, sequence work, and resolve cross-team dependencies. Nothing in this scope goes live without your product sign-off.

  • Ship platform capabilities traders actually feel. You decide which matching, market-data, order-lifecycle, and connectivity bets come next - and which “nice ideas” never make the cut. Ownership isn’t shipping tickets; it’s delivering rails that hold when volume spikes.

  • Bring exchange-systems fluency into product decisions. You translate how order books, feeds, amend/cancel paths, and APIs actually behave under stress - and under risk/ops constraints - into product that can ship and scale without becoming an incident postmortem after the fact.

  • Operate at growth-mode pace. You’ve seen (or run) product inside an exchange or trading platform that was scaling fast. You know how to prioritize ruthlessly, cut scope, and still ship when volume and urgency are both rising.

  • Partner across eng, SRE, risk, compliance, and ops. You align stakeholders around clear outcomes. You surface reliability and capacity constraints early. You don’t wait for someone else to “figure out the platform part.”

  • Talk to traders and eng like a peer. You run research and feedback loops. You ask “Show me what broke the last time latency spiked / the book degraded,” not “Would you use this feature?” You distinguish what people say from what production reveals.

  • Own the numbers. You instrument latency, availability, capacity, and opportunity size - and prioritize without waiting for someone to hand you the analysis. Your work shows up in infra SLOs and ship cadence.

Requirements:

  • Trading-infrastructure product ownership. You have owned or shipped matching, market data, OMS/order lifecycle, exchange connectivity, or adjacent trading-systems product - and can walk through what you owned, what broke under scale, and what you did next. We care what you’ve built and owned - not MBA, pedigree, or a certain number of years. Strong tradfi exchange/brokerage infra operators who can learn crypto rails fast are in scope.

  • Director-level product ownership. You have set strategy and roadmap across a complex trading or markets platform surface and can describe a time dependencies broke down - and what you did to still ship.

  • Markets / systems fluency. You know order books, matching semantics, market-data correctness, order types and lifecycle, and how pros experience infra failure. You can explain what makes trading rails great vs. fragile.

  • Evidence of shipping under constraint. You can point to a launch where reliability, capacity, risk, clearing/ops, or regulatory constraints were real - and you still delivered a trader-usable platform outcome.

  • Cross-functional leadership without title theater. You align eng, SRE, risk, compliance, and ops around outcomes. You escalate only what must escalate; you own the rest.

  • Data ownership. You instrument latency / reliability / capacity drivers, size the opportunity, and prioritize without waiting for analysis to be handed to you.

Preferred:

  • Prior exchange / brokerage / advanced trading platform product leadership (crypto or traditional).

  • Institutional or pro-trader / market-maker facing product experience.

  • Hands-on familiarity with FIX, websocket market data, or maker/taker connectivity products.

  • Experience scaling trading systems through a high-growth or high-incident period.

  • People leadership: you’ve managed or mentored PMs on trading or platform surfaces.

  • AI-native workflow: you use AI tools to move faster with human-in-the-loop judgment.

Why This Role:

  • Access. You work directly with Exchange product leadership on the rails every trading surface depends on. No layers.

  • Leverage. Trading infra is the front door to volume and trust — your roadmap compounds across the Exchange.

  • Frontier. Crypto exchange rails at this scale are still being written. The playbook is yours to own.

  • Upside. Early ownership on infrastructure that sits on the critical path of latency, retention, and share of wallet.

  • Team. High-calibre eng, SRE, risk, and ops partners who care whether the book and the feeds hold — not just whether a ticket closed.
