About Aztec At Aztec, our goal is to add privacy to Ethereum. In the current public blockchain paradigm, users and entities unknowingly broadcast data in the public, compromising privacy and security to get trustlessness. Not only are unencrypted blockchains inherently privacy-exposing, they require significant redundancy to compute and verify the legitimacy of transactions. Implementing scalable encryption in a public blockchain paradigm requires cutting-edge math and engineering. Thankfully, our team of scientists and engineers invented Plonk, the industry-standard zkSNARK, and Noir, the universal language of zero knowledge. Now, weâre building a first of its kind Layer 2 with private smart contracts. This requires new cryptographic primitives, a zero-knowledge DSL for writing contracts, a privacy-friendly execution environment, a carefully designed set of circuits that prove the validity of the chain to L1, a decentralized block-building and proving mechanism, and a top-tier user and developer experience. And itâs now time to bring it to market. Weâve raised $125 million from industry-leading investors including a16z crypto, Paradigm, Variant, Consensys, and a_capital, and weâre growing quickly. In this role, you will:
Craft accurate and engaging technical documentation for the Aztec tech stack (SDK, APIs, infrastructure, zk-SNARK circuits) that supports developers building on our platform. Write technical blog posts, guides, tutorials, and partner content that bridges engineering depth with marketing clarity. Collaborate with engineering and developer relations teams to create onboarding materials, FAQs, and integration guides that help developers get started and go deep. Support go-to-market efforts by contributing technical content for announcements, partner integrations, and product launches. Own and evolve Aztecâs technical content standards, ensuring consistency, clarity, and approachability across all developer-facing materials. Collect and synthesize developer feedback, identify documentation gaps, and proactively fill them with targeted content. Partner with the marketing team to ensure technical accuracy in messaging and campaigns while maintaining brand alignment. Be a champion for external developers inside Aztecâadvocating for their needs and helping the team communicate with them effectively.
About you:
4â6+ years of total experience, including 3+ years as a technical writer, developer advocate, or similar role at a technology-focused company. Deep familiarity with software engineering concepts; bonus points if youâre a self-taught or former developer. Demonstrated experience writing for both developer and non-developer audiences. Experience working with Ethereum or similar blockchain ecosystems is strongly preferred. Exceptional communication skillsâyou can explain deeply technical ideas clearly and concisely, adapting your voice and level of detail to the audience. You thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and take initiative to identify and solve problems. Passionate about zero-knowledge cryptography, blockchain, and the broader crypto space.
Bonus points for:
Prior experience working at a developer-focused company or managing developer community content. Experience writing video or presentation scripts for dev-focused events or product demos. Fluency in additional languages (Spanish, French, Hindi, Mandarin).
What We Offer:
Flexible, remote-first culture with HQ in London. Competitive salary + equity/token options. 25 days annual leave + bank holidays. Health, dental, and retirement benefits (based on location). Quarterly offsites for team collaboration and bonding. Conference and learning budget for continual professional development. A chance to work on truly cutting-edge zero-knowledge infrastructure with some of the best minds in the field.
Aztec Labs is an equal opportunity employer and we value creativity, diversity, and intellectual curiosity. If you're passionate about leveraging your creative talents to make a real-world impact, and if you want to be part of a team that's shaping the future of digital privacy, then we would love to hear from you.
