As a Software Engineer in the KYC & Eligibility team, you will be responsible for building and optimizing the activation and onboarding processes at Blockchain.com. Your work will ensure that customers can seamlessly and securely access our platform while meeting regulatory and compliance requirements. You will collaborate with engineering, marketing, and product teams to create a scalable, reliable, and efficient onboarding experience.This role requires a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to build systems that are both secure and user-friendly. You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our onboarding flows, ensuring high availability, low latency, and optimal user experience.What You Will Do:

Design, develop, and maintain the ****platform, ensuring that your contributions follows the standards and guidelines set by Blockchain.com Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code while upholding best practices in software development. Contribute to the observability and monitoring of our services, leveraging tools to improve system performance and debugging capabilities. Work closely with our marketing teams to ensure requirements are met while maintaining a seamless user experience including experiments together with A/B testing. Improve our activation and onboarding flow remains secure and efficient. Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers to enhance the end-to-end onboarding experience. Contribute to technical architecture discussions, ensuring that design choices align with both business goals and system performance.

Work closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to enhance our growth objectives Participate in code reviews, receptive to constructive feedback to maintain code quality and consistency. Partner with infrastructure teams to improve deployment processes, ensuring high availability and resilience.

Optimize our activation and onboarding funnels to enhance our user experience. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring smooth activation and onboarding processes. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and contribute to process improvements that enhance engineering effectiveness.

What You Will Need:

Proficiency in JVM languages (Kotlin, Java), Kafka and PostgresSQL An understanding of event driven distributed systems, APIs, and microservices architectures. Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools to maintain system reliability and performance. Familiarity with security best practices, particularly in KYC, fraud detection, and compliance systems. Experience with SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL databases (Redis), ensuring optimal data storage and retrieval for KYC processes. Ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to enhance activation and onboarding flows. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, ensuring quick incident resolution and system improvements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring technical discussions are clear and productive
