At R3, we are building the on-ramp for the next trillion dollars of assets to move on-chain, bridging the worlds of traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi). We are launching institutional-grade RWA yield vaults, fully composable and integrated into Solana DeFi.

We are seeking a Senior QA SDET to take a technical role in shaping the quality and reliability of our blockchain protocol. You will work closely with protocol engineers and smart contract developers to design, execute and automate testing for blockchain applications and decentralized systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the automation of Web3 wallet workflows, addressing complex testing challenges such as wallet integrations, transaction validation and end-to-end blockchain interactions

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for smart contracts, transactions and wallet integrations workflows

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers in Agile ceremonies to ensure test coverage aligns with business needs

  • Log, prioritize, and manage defects using tracking tools like JIRA

  • Analyse test results, generate quality metrics, and clearly communicate risks and issues

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 1+ year working with blockchain or Web3 products, ideally on Solana

  • 6-10 years of hands-on experience in Manual QA techniques and Test automation roles, ideally in Agile environments

  • Testing smart contracts, transactions and wallet integrations

  • Proficient in using test automation frameworks and tools such as:

    • UI Testing: Selenium, Cypress/JavaScript/Typescript, Appium

    • API Testing: REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI

    • BDD Tools: Cucumber, Serenity

    • Database Testing

  • Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience testing in distributed systems and microservice architectures

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Haves:

  • Exposure to financial services, fintech, or trading system technologies

  • Strong coding skills in Java, Kotlin, or similar languages, with demonstrated experience building maintainable test automation code

  • Familiarity with tools like XRAY, TestRail, Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, Helm charts for test management and observability

  • Understanding of performance, reliability, or security testing approaches

  • ISTQB/CSTE certification
