We are seeking a WORLD CLASS Mobile Native Developer, with experience in building cross-platform consumer applications - for a Nomad & Travel Social Networking App.
Who are we?
Satlantis is the world’s first “Travel and Community Social Network.” Imagine Instagram meets TripAdvisor meets Google Places. It’s a travel directory, social network and merchant map, all in one.
We are funded, and have a team of 8 people across product, data, Nostr, ops and engineering. We are all hands on product development right now and if you want to help shape the future of this product, and of global travel & nomading, THIS is your chance.
The Role
This role encompasses leading the development of our Mobile Application. You will be in charge of the entire mobile app including building an entirely new application from scratch. This role will work closely with our head of product design, our head of product, our CTO and the lead back end engineers who are building the infrastructure that the app will depend on.
This will require you to be self-motivated, hungry for progress, innovative and extremely diligent in order to keep up with design progress as well as maintain feature parity with the web development team.
This is a REMOTE role, with a healthy salary and, for the right candidate, an opportunity for a significant equity stake in the company.
Key responsibilities:
- Complete coding and build of mobile software per product roadmap
- Formulate, design, and implement mobile solutions per requirements
- Test applications to ensure they are working properly, including writing unit tests.
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines including build process and end user distribution for Android and iOS applications in app stores
- Provide end-user support as needed
- Responsible for troubleshooting
- Stay on top of security threats and ensure updates to mitigate risks
- Assess and update existing application and features
- Collaborate with CTO and Head of Product
Must have
- At least 5 years of experience with React Native, building mobile applications
- Experience working with UI/UX designers
- Experience working inside a fast-paced software team, building consumer applications
- Prior experience building Mobile Native (ideally with Swift / X-code)
Nice to have
- Prior experience as a UI / UX Designer (this is highly desirable)
- Previous experience with Social Media applications
- Previous experience with mobile Fintech applications
- Previous experience with, or knowledge of Bitcoin
- This is a remote role, and our preference is that you’re either in Australia or Canada.
*Important*
To be considered for the role, please review the links below and answer the following two questions in the cover letter of your application:
1. Is what we're building of interest to you, and if so, why?
2. Why do you think you're the right person to help us bring this to life, visually & experientially on mobile?
Furthermore, please present us (via link, or video walkthrough) with ONE key project you've worked on, that validates the above.

What does a React developer in web3 do?
A React developer in the context of web3 is a developer who is using the React JavaScript library to build user interfaces for decentralized applications (dApps) that run on the Ethereum blockchain
These dApps often use smart contracts to facilitate transactions and other interactions on the Ethereum network
Overall, the role of a React developer in web3 involves using your skills in React development to help build cutting-edge decentralized applications that leverage the power of the Ethereum blockchain
As a React developer in web3, some of your responsibilities might include:
- Integrating the dApp with the Ethereum blockchain. This might involve using tools like web3.js and Ethers.js to connect to the Ethereum network and interact with smart contracts.
- Building the user interface for a dApp using React. This could involve creating components for the various elements of the dApp, such as buttons, forms, and other input elements.
- Implementing features that are specific to decentralized applications, such as handling cryptocurrency transactions and displaying data from the blockchain in a user-friendly way.
- Collaborating with other members of the development team, such as blockchain engineers and designers, to ensure that the dApp functions properly and meets the needs of the end users.
