About The Role At Xccelerate we are on a mission to transform the global workforce through tech education to employment through up-skilling and res-killing across key innovation areas, and we are in search of a smart, excitable and hard-working Software Engineer Trainer looking to do the best work of their lives and take the Xccelerate platform to the next level. Here is your chance to shape the direction of tech education across Asia. By changing the way that people acquire their technical skills and launch new careers in the tech space, you will be moving Asia forward with tech enabled workforces driving new regional tech hubs. As a Software Engineer trainer your goal is to unleash the next generations of software engineers and tech leaders. You will collaborate with a team of instructors to host lectures and class sessions to help students on assignments and other learning activities. You will also contribute to the course content development and maintaining our online learning platform (talentLMS). You will work closely with the instructor team, and our internal software development team on internal and external software projects. Role Responsilibilities Expertly and actively guide students with their educational and professional development Continuously revise the technical content/curriculum of the bootcamp program to ensure they are fit for purpose and updated; enforce curriculum changes when needed Be attentive towards the learning needs of students and align delivery of course material to match individual students' needs. Demonstrates consistent classroom and student management to ensure a positive, successful learning experience. Assist in the monitoring of student’s progress, and maintain records of reports and reviews. About You Degree in Computer Science, Software Systems or related technical field, or industry experience equivalent. Excellent communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written English is a must. Cantonese / Mandarin is an advantage 2 years’ relevant experience is preferred. Prior experience in ed-tech or in teaching/coaching is a big plus. (Candidates with less experience will be considered) Proficient in full stack web development technologies: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap, JQuery, AJAX, DOM, Node.js, React.js, AWS management and deployment, Data structures and algorithms, tenserflow.js Sound knowledge of testing framework (jest testing)Experience with material U.I, semantic U.I, storybook, and Ubuntu terminal Experience with both Mac and Windows environment highly preferred Strong analytical and problem solving skills for hardware/software setup, maintenance and trouble-shooting Passion in adult learning and teaching to foster a culture of continuous improvement for students What We Offer Culture: At Xccelerate we are a young vibrant team and make it our responsibility that every team member grows professionally and as an individual Growth: Clear career progression path and we make it our responsibility that every team member grows professionally and as an individual.
