You will be shaping many peoples’ first experience with crypto, from idea generation all the way up to implementation and fine-tuning. We need someone who can come up with practical solutions for difficult engineering problems -- without compromising on the usability people have come to expect from Web2. You will be a core team member with a huge say in our architecture, design philosophy, and product roadmap. We seek exceptional talent to build the next generation of user experiences in crypto, enabling us to change the world of payments.

Responsibilities

  • Own our upcoming mobile app across Android and iOS

  • Help design a secure self-custody solution that can scale to support moving people’s entire financial lives on-chain

  • Speak directly with users to collect stories and identify key features

  • Maintain a high bar for other team developers through architecture and design review, estimation, code reviews, and education

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience building iOS apps with React Native

  • Some experience with security work or cryptography is strongly preferred

  • Ability to work independently and aggressively prioritize

  • Interest in cryptocurrency / web3. Our main focus is in developing great consumer products, but some domain expertise is helpful!

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience having shipped an app from concept to production on your own or in a small team

  • Experience with Next.js or Rust.

  • Experience with GCP or similar cloud computing technology

  • Experience deploying smart contracts on Solana

  • Some experience with offensive security threat modeling, ie penetration testing

Benefits

  • Equity and a competitive salary.

  • Comprehensive health care, dental, and life insurance.

  • Unlimited paid time off.

  • Relocation stipend for NYC.

What does a React developer in web3 do?

A React developer in the context of web3 is a developer who is using the React JavaScript library to build user interfaces for decentralized applications (dApps) that run on the Ethereum blockchain

These dApps often use smart contracts to facilitate transactions and other interactions on the Ethereum network

Overall, the role of a React developer in web3 involves using your skills in React development to help build cutting-edge decentralized applications that leverage the power of the Ethereum blockchain

As a React developer in web3, some of your responsibilities might include:

  • Integrating the dApp with the Ethereum blockchain. This might involve using tools like web3.js and Ethers.js to connect to the Ethereum network and interact with smart contracts.
  • Building the user interface for a dApp using React. This could involve creating components for the various elements of the dApp, such as buttons, forms, and other input elements.
  • Implementing features that are specific to decentralized applications, such as handling cryptocurrency transactions and displaying data from the blockchain in a user-friendly way.
  • Collaborating with other members of the development team, such as blockchain engineers and designers, to ensure that the dApp functions properly and meets the needs of the end users.
