Your Mission:
As the Head of People, you will play a crucial role in shaping organisational culture, enhancing employee engagement, and supporting the growth of our ventures and our central teams. You will lead the people strategy with our venture leaders across all ventures, ensuring alignment with business goals while providing operational support to create a high-performing and inclusive workplace. You will manage a People Partner and work with our talent and operational teams to deliver seamless experiences for our ventures and central teams.
Areas for Impact
Design and implement a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives of the venture builder and our businesses.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity across all ventures and central teams.
Oversee talent development processes to attract and retain top talent across all ventures and central teams.
Collaborate with venture leaders to identify talent needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies with our Talent team.
Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, performance management, and professional development.
Lead employee feedback mechanisms, such as surveys and focus groups, to gather insights and drive improvements.
Provide operational support to ventures by streamlining HR processes, enhancing productivity, and optimising resources.
Develop and manage HR metrics to monitor performance and effectiveness of people initiatives.
Directly manage a People Partner, providing guidance and support in HR operations and strategic initiatives.
Ensure alignment between the People Partner and the broader HR strategy, facilitating effective execution of people programs.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across all ventures.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve HR policies and processes.

Proven experience (7+ years) in a senior HR role, preferably within a startup or venture capital environment.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and workplace management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated experience managing HR professionals and workplace teams, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
This role is available as remote, hybrid or in-office. We have a great office space in Spitalfields in London but are equally happy if you’d prefer to work from home some, or all of the time.
