Requirements
What We're Looking For:
- 5-6 years of relevantBachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Solid analytical SQL (programming/designed managing data)Firm understanding of modern data platforms, their underlying data and distribution models, and how to select appropriate tools for given requirements
- Can demonstrate application of security best practices (compute, storage, and network)
- Expertise with popular analytical file formats (Parquetl,Delta Files-,ORC)
- Communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience
- Excellent collaboration and project management skills
- HasModelingPostgreSQL or MySQLEffective skills to structure / develop large projects in Java, Python, Scala, Go, Rust, Elixir or similar
- DemonstratedTools:Spark, Delta Lake, Iceberg, dbt, Alteryx, Airflow, Dremio, Starburst, Tableau, Superset, Looker

AltoIRA is seeking the right candidates to join us on their journey of formalizing and evolving their Data & Analytics platform. Their target data platform is easy to navigate, self-service enabled at multiple levels, SQL-oriented, secure, highly automated, resilient and cost-effective. Their data engineers build business required data products and also build the automations required to keep the team agile and effective.
What You'll Get to Do:
- Provision and set up data platform technologies
- Manage and secure the flow of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
- Acquire necessary data while ensuring it meets compliance and data privacy regulations
- Participate in evaluation and implementation of new and major enhancements of reporting and business intelligence applications as needed
