We're hiring software engineers to help build the market data infrastructure for future decentralized finance applications. Your responsibilities will include developing on-chain solutions, creating developer SDKs, enhancing tools, and monitoring. You will also be expected to use your knowledge of the DeFi ecosystem to identify and leverage new opportunities.

- Our team includes tech and business professionals who communicate effectively to drive our network-based approach.
- Work remotely: Our team is global, with an optional office in Porto, Portugal. We primarily work remotely.
- English proficiency is required for team and external developer communication.
- We operate in a startup environment within the dynamic DeFi space. We need adaptable problem solvers who can adjust to market changes.
- Write open-source software
- User-centric development: We focus on creating user-friendly APIs and clear documentation to meet developers' needs.
Your Responsibilities
- You'll be responsible for ideating, creating, and maintaining both on-chain and off-chain Pyth-related projects, including smart contracts, SDKs, front-ends, and utility programs.
- You'll work with the business development and sales teams to shape our product's direction.
- You'll contribute to our team by mentoring junior engineers and maintaining high standards in software design and documentation.
- Engage with the developer community, understand their needs, and create SDKs, documentation, and tools tailored to them.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of software engineering expertise. Experience in large-scale, safety-critical systems is a plus.
- Blockchain knowledge is a bonus but not required; we support learning on the job.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, and adapt to the ever-changing DeFi market.
- Interest or experience in Rust, Solidity, Python, and Typescript.
- Strong technical communication skills for diverse interactions.
- Ability to mentor engineers of varying skill levels.
- Willingness to handle periodic on-call duties.
