About Somnia:

We are building Somnia, a fast and cost-effective EVM-based blockchain, to achieve this. Somnia is a layer-one blockchain with full EVM compatibility, capable of processing over 1,000,000 transactions per second with sub-second latency and low fees. This will unlock a new wave of on-chain applications. Initially, we are focusing on gaming, metaverse, and social experiences. But we are not even 100% certain of what can be built with the technology we are creating.

Somnia is being developed by Somnia Foundation backed by Improbable, a British start-up that has been at the forefront of building virtual worlds for over a decade. Somnia received initial funding from MSquared, which raised $150 million in funding from a16z crypto, SoftBank, Mirana Ventures, CMT Digital, and SIG.

The Role

We're looking for a Social Media Manager who thinks strategically and executes flawlessly. You'll own our social presence on X and LinkedIn, developing our brand narrative and creating content that resonates with the Web3 community.

This isn't just about posting - you'll shape our positioning, craft our voice, and build a content strategy that drives awareness and engagement in the crypto space.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute our social media content strategy across Twitter/X and LinkedIn

• Create compelling content (tweets, threads, posts) that drives engagement and grows our audience

• Shape our brand narrative and positioning in the Web3 ecosystem

• Collaborate closely with our content writer to align social strategy with blogs and email campaign

• Stay on top of Web3 trends, conversations, and culture to keep us relevant

• Build and maintain our content calendar

• Analyze performance and iterate on what works

• Come up with social media and community campaigns to boost engagement, grow reach and smart followers

You're a Great Fit If You:

• Have 3-5+ years of social media experience with proven results growing accounts and effective content strategy

• Can demonstrate strategic thinking - you understand the "why" behind content, not just the "what"

• Are deeply familiar with Web3/crypto culture and communities (smart followers, DeFi, yappers, infofi, etc.)

• Have B2B experience, ideally in tech or Web2

• Can write engaging copy that balances brand voice with virality

• Are comfortable working independently while collaborating with our content team

• Have a portfolio showing your strategic and creative work

• Can work in a very fast paced environment

Bonus Points:

• You're active in CT and understand the dynamics

• Experience working for a layer 1 or a gaming project

• Experience at an early-stage Web3 company

• You've built brand positioning from the ground up

• Background in content strategy or brand marketing
