Ripple is expanding its business in Europe, and launching its first EU office in Dublin. We are looking for an experienced business leader to lead the launch and growth of Ripple’s business operations in Ireland, and drive strategic initiatives across Europe. Ireland Country Manager will be responsible for the management of the Dublin office, represent Ripple externally in Ireland, liaising with regulators, key customers and partners, and drive Europe-wide strategic initiatives, acting as trusted advisor to Europe MD. This role requires a high level of autonomy, entrepreneurial energy, and business savvy in order to drive success for one of Ripple’s international offices. The Ireland Country Manager will report to the MD, Europe, RippleNet.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage all Ripple Ireland business activities, oversee cross-functional stakeholders in the Dublin office, and ensure that Ripple is delivering its obligations as a regulated EU payments provider
  • Represent Ripple externally in Ireland, building relationships with all members of Ripple’s ecosystem (e.g. regulators, banks, fintech, partners), and represent Ripple in selected conferences and media engagements.
  • In conjunction with business leaders from across the Company; grow, guide, and support a new team in Dublin and an already-strong team in the UK.
  • Partner with Ripple leadership in Europe to define and execute Europe and Ireland strategy to ensure Ripple Ireland contributes to the growing Ripple network.
  • Engage actively with Ripple Product, Sales, Business Development and Client Success functional teams to offer insights into Europe customer needs and trends, support regional targets, service delivery and satisfaction metrics.
  • Lead key strategic and operational initiatives for Europe working closely with key stakeholders across the company - including (but not limited to) Policy, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Legal and Business Development.
  • Lead RippleNet scheme / governance
  • Organise and manage Europe RippleNet leadership meetings (Europe all hands updates, Europe cross-functional meetings), driving team collaboration, alignment and cross-pollination of best practices.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • 12+ years of experience, ideally from a management consulting, financial technology, enterprise technology, financial services background. Experience with regulated financial services companies is a plus.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable about the European payments landscape (across commercial banks, central banks, payment providers, regulators, etc.). Experience working with financial services regulators is a plus.
  • Familiar and passionate about cryptocurrency and blockchain applications in financial services. Crypto experience plus.
  • All-rounder and highly flexible/ adaptable- experienced in multiple functional areas, and excited about getting hands dirty, wearing multiple hats, driving cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Sales/ Business Development/ Account Management/ Go-to-Market experience is a plus.
  • Highly results-oriented and action-driven. Somebody who loves getting their hands dirty and wearing many hats to drive results, and gets things done
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to see the big picture and outline key outcomes
  • Experienced and effective in influencing cross-functional stakeholders across the organisation, including working with satellite offices/ workforce
  • Strong communicator - verbal and written
  • Quick-learner, thrives in a fast-paced growth environment, navigating through continuous change
  • Effective in handling ambiguity, self-driven to chart a course in the midst of unknowns
  • Handle interpersonal relationships professionally and empathetically with peers, senior leadership, cross-functional stakeholders etc
  • Undergraduate degree; MBA a plus but not required
