About the Role

We’re looking for a diligent and motivated professional to join our team and help deliver a best-in-class workplace experience for our employees. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all of Public’s basic technology needs, globally. What You’ll Do

  • Manage end-to-end: technical support and troubleshooting for all hardware, software and networking requests; access and license management; office A/V; data archiving and storage
  • Purchase, install, and manage assets / inventory, including: software licenses, computers, and peripheral components like monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners, speakers, etc.
  • Work with the People team to onboard and offboard employees — this includes equipment setup and shipment, software permissioning, and building access configuration (e.g., keycards)
  • Oversee company SaaS platforms, including: Google Suite, Zoom, Confluence, JIRA, etc.
  • Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems, as well as physical office security
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and technology partners to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and contracts are optimized
  • Process incoming mail and packages, including sorting all mail; and coordinate outbound shipment of returned mail to third party warehouse

Who You Are

  • An effective IT Operations Specialist will use a variety of soft skills, technical skills and industry knowledge to provide the most comprehensive support they can. A proactive and creative approach to problem solving is key.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of equivalent training / work experience, including deep expertise across a variety of operating systems, SaaS platforms, and devices (desktop, mobile, and networking)
  • Extensive knowledge of Mac OS, Google Workspace, Okta, Kandji, Apple Business Manager (for Macs) and Airwatch/VMWare (for Windows)
  • Hyper-organized, attentive to detail, and able to operate independently, with little to no supervision
  • Strong communication skills, integrity, and a good sense of judgment required – especially when dealing with sensitive matters
  • Experience working in a start-up or similar fast paced environment with a globally distributed team

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with Information Technology General Controls (“ITGC”) to demonstrate SEA Rule 17a-5 and SOX compliance to internal and external auditors
  • Experience with programming languages or scripting knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience with Linux systems administration
  • Prior Customer Support experience
