Striga is building compliant crypto and banking infrastructure for European businesses. This covers the scope of safely custody-ing crypto assets on behalf of users, enabling trading by sourcing liquidity and connection to banks for issuing IBANs (European checking accounts) and Visa Cards that can spend against a users' balance held on Striga's ledger. The company has slowly grown over the last 5 years, tackling one of the biggest challenges in today's crypto industry - Regulation.

Striga is the very first company to win a regulatory license after a year long debacle with the Estonian regulator and is HQ'd in Estonia (Present a nice opportunity to eventually move to Estonia as well!).

A business like this was practically impossible to build without complying with the law and this presents a unique host of engineering challenges in translating legal text into functional code.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Front-end Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining, and upgrading the Striga Portal (https://portal.striga.com/) and Striga's internal compliance dashboards, keeping ease of use in mind, and creating beautiful user interface designs that cater to the needs of users. Your experience with React Native, bitcoin, or other cryptocurrency applications will be a huge bonus.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience building applications using modern UI frameworks such as React.js, Next.js, and React Native

• Ability to write reusable, well-documented, and clean JavaScript code

• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode and Android Studio

• Experience building and deploying hybrid apps to production with strong JavaScript fundamentals

• Overhaul of UI/UX with ease of use in mind, demonstrating experience in creating beautiful user interface designs and understanding user needs

• Experience working with bitcoin and/or cryptocurrency wallet technology is a huge bonus

• Passion for payment systems and cryptocurrency

• Experience with Node.js, GCP, Redis, and basic cloud computing concepts is a plus

Bonus:

• Entrepreneurship or startup experience.

• Adept at writing technical documentation.

• Experience working with crypto-currencies and/or other legacy financial systems.
