We are currently collaborating with a well-established and reputable Fintech firm that is seeking to expand its team by adding a Back End Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable solutions for the company's platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a private, permissioned distributed ledger using DAML, Canton, and other open-source blockchain frameworks.
- Develop and maintain a RESTful API utilizing Python and FastAPI to support system functionality.
- Provide technical leadership by motivating, guiding, and mentoring team members, focusing on supporting junior engineers' growth.
- Actively engage in daily stand-up meetings to ensure alignment and progress within the team.
- Participate in peer code reviews as part of the standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change management processes.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in blockchain technology and integrate relevant innovations into the ecosystem.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions
- 2+ years of technical leadership and management experience
- Experience with DAML, Solidity, or other blockchain programming languages
- Experience with Python and FastAPI
- Demonstrated understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices
- Experience building APIs for large-scale applications using AWS
- Experience with tokenization and blockchain-based investments
- Familiarity with security best practices and encryption techniques
- Basic knowledge of finance and business (e.g., capital markets, alternative investments)
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Exceptional ability to understand client needs, scope projects, develop detail-oriented execution plans, and communicate results
- An entrepreneurial hunger to own problems from start to finish, manage projects, overcome operational bottlenecks, and execute effectively
