Member of Product, Blockchain Specialist
At Anchorage, we're building the infrastructure to support institutional access to digital assets and that means staying at the forefront of blockchain innovation. As a Blockchain Specialist, you'll be the team's go-to expert on how protocols work under the hood.
You'll partner across Product, Engineering, and Sales to help the team deeply understand the protocols and use cases our clients care about most staking, vesting, governance voting, and more. You'll also lead diligence on assets we're considering for support, researching the business, technical, and compliance dimensions of each opportunity.
This role is ideal for someone who loves going deep on blockchain mechanics, communicates complex ideas clearly, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills:
- Develop deep expertise in blockchain protocols, consensus mechanisms, and on-chain operations (staking, vesting, governance)
- Research and synthesize protocol whitepapers, technical documentation, and market data into actionable insights
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Own the full lifecycle of asset diligence projects from initial research through recommendation
- Navigate ambiguity in emerging protocol designs and make sound judgment calls on prioritization
Organizational Knowledge:
- Understand how protocol decisions impact Anchorage's product roadmap and client offerings
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure engineering, product, and sales teams have the protocol knowledge they need
Communication and Influence
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation, reports, and presentations for diverse audiences
- Build trust with stakeholders by proactively sharing relevant market trends, opportunities, and risks.
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
- 5-7+ years of experience in blockchain/crypto, technical research, or a related field with demonstrated depth in protocol mechanics
- The technical ability to read and digest protocol whitepapers, technical documentation, and on-chain data—and present findings clearly to engineering, product, design, and sales teams
- Familiarity with crypto analysis tools including block explorers (Etherscan, Solscan, etc.) and data aggregators
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams
Although not a requirement, bonus points if:
- You have previously published research, analyses, articles, or blogs on blockchain projects or protocols
- You have hands-on experience with staking, governance voting, or other on-chain protocol participation
- You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system. :)
