We are looking for an experienced Sales Operations Manager to manage and optimize the sales processes, data systems, and compensation structures that drive our sales performance. This role will oversee Sales Operations, ensuring seamless integration between sales tools and business operations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience utilizing CRMs, be highly analytical, and capable of designing and optimizing sales compensation programs. Reporting to the Head of Revenue, the Sales Operations Lead will ensure that sales operations, systems, and processes support the sales team and overall business objectives.
We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the Sales Operations Manager role:
Technical Skills:
- Leverage Salesforce and other internal tools to pull sales data and provide insights to the Head of Revenue.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track sales performance, pipeline health, and other key metric.
- Ability to identify and use tools that streamline sales operations, such as sales enablement platforms or forecasting tools.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Drives impactful decisions by analyzing large sets of data from multiple sources, transforming them into actionable insights for the sales leadership team.
- Manage initiatives that scale sales operations effectively as the company grows, ensuring systems and processes remain efficient, adaptable and scalable.
- Continuously assesses the efficiency and effectiveness of sales processes, identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement solutions.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Collaborate to ensure that sales strategies align with overall company goals, helping achieving revenue targets.
- Plays a key role in ensuring that the right sales resources (people, tools, data) are aligned with the company’s goals, optimizing for maximum sales productivity.
Communication and Influence:
- Articulates complex data, insights, and strategies clearly to executives and senior leadership to influence business decisions and strategy.
- Actively communicates with key stakeholders and ensures alignment between various teams, especially Finance and HR, regarding compensation policies, sales performance, and goals.
- Lead the communication of process or system changes within the sales team, ensuring smooth transition and team buy-in.
- Regularly communicates with Sales leadership to ensure that sales team have the tools, resources, and processes they need to succeed, translating strategy into actionable plans.
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
- 10+ years of experience in sales operations, business operations, or a related field, with a strong focus on Salesforce and data analytics.
- Proven experience in designing sales compensation plans and calculating commissions and payouts.
- Expertise in leveraging CRMs and other internal tools to track, analyze, and report on sales performance.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a Sales Operations team.
