It is a role for someone who has been in the room β with a Head of Digital Assets at a prime broker, a Chief Investment Officer at a hedge fund, a treasury team at a bank evaluating stablecoin infrastructure β and closed.
The opportunity
A well-funded firm with a market-leading digital asset offering β spanning institutional crypto products, blockchain infrastructure, and DeFi-native financial services built for regulated institutions β is looking for a senior institutional sales professional based in New York.
Base salary: $200,000. OTE significantly above that. The firm is at an inflection point β regulatory clarity, institutional demand, and a product that is genuinely ahead of the market. This is a career-defining role for the right person.
The non-negotiables
You have direct, hands-on sales experience selling blockchain, DeFi, or crypto products to financial institutions. Not adjacent experience. Not a background in traditional fintech with a recent interest in digital assets.
You have sat across the table from compliance and risk teams at regulated institutions and navigated their concerns about crypto infrastructure. You understand MiCA, the GENIUS Act, and what the shift in the SEC's posture means for institutional adoption in 2025 and 2026.
You know what tokenisation means operationally β and you can explain it credibly to a COO at a custodian bank or a portfolio manager at a macro fund.
You have closed deals in this space. Real ones. With real institutional counterparties.
This role is not for you if
β Your crypto experience is retail, exchange, or consumer-facing
β You understand blockchain conceptually but have not sold it commercially to institutions
β Your institutional sales background is in traditional capital markets with no digital assets exposure
What this looks like in practice
You will be building and owning institutional relationships across hedge funds, asset managers, prime brokers, family offices, and banks. You will be one of the senior commercial voices of a firm that is operating at the frontier of institutional digital finance.
The market is ready. The product is ready. The question is whether you are.
