DESCRIPTION: The Legal Intern is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. Reporting to the Director, Legal Counsel, the Legal Intern will be responsible for providing substantive and administrative support to the Legal department.

This is a rare invitation to join a small, highly professional entrepreneurial group, with the backing of the most established player in the fast-growing crypto space.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:The Legal Intern will be exposed to a variety of areas, and will assist the Legal Department on a variety of matters, including but not limited to:

WHAT YOU WILL DO: (List primary responsibilities in order of most importance)

  • Conduct legal research;
  • Review and proofread a variety of legal documents;
  • Assist in the development of user guides;
  • Draft legal summaries and memos; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 2+ years of experience working in a legal capacity
  • Current law school student (2L or 3L preferred)

Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Strong desire to work in or learn more about the cryptocurrency space
  • Working understanding of legal principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Great sense of humor.
