About DraperU Ventures
We are the 1st founder endurance fellowship in the world & run the largest IRL residential program in Silicon Valley taking no equity up front.
This summer we'll be working with crypto and blockchain founders in partnership with Stellar and USAID for social impact companies, and founders from 23+ countries who are focused on building deeptech companies.
DraperU Ventures is part of the wider Draper venture ecosystem, we invest from pre-seed to Series A and are sector agnostic.
We have trained 4,000+ founders from 102 countries in the last decade, who have gone on to start 700+ companies and raised $1B+ in funding. What You Will Be Doing:
- Working closely with our investing team to scout amazing founders and interesting companies in the crypto and deeptech space.
- Participate in deal flow meetings, research and analyze data and contribute to investment decisions
- Assist the investing team with identifying, sourcing, and screening startups globally
- Leverage the greater Draper Ecosystem and alumni and portfolio network to source and screen founders.
- Work with the greater Draper Ecosystem team to utilize tools and resources to gather relevant data throughout the company screening process
- Conduct market research
- Help as needed with sourcing events
Who You Are:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or a closely related discipline
- You have an interest in crypto, blockchain and deep-tech startups
- You have a minimum of 10 continuous weeks of availability for the internship
- You are a problem solver and effective communicator
- Authorization to work in the US
Nice to haves:
- You have built a community of founders
- You have experience building or running the entrepreneurship, venture or blockchain/technology (other) club on-campus
- You have organized startup pitch competitions or hackathons before
- You have been a part of a fund on-campus
Compensation:
Small stipend and housing on campus included.
