We're looking for a junior writer to join our team at MoneyMade, a leading alternative investment startup helping people do more with their money. This position is fully remote.
Us: We're a fully remote, venture-backed startup. You'll be working with an innovative, growth-oriented team and given lots of opportunities to collaborate with others and get creative. Here at MoneyMade, our mission is to make investing across all asset classes simple, fun and transparent. By bringing together 180+ different online investment platforms that allow you to invest in everything from stocks, real estate, and farmland to crypto, NFTs, wine, sneakers, and fine art, we make it easy for investors of all experience levels to explore and evaluate their options—all while understanding how those assets fit into their current investing strategy.
You: A creative, highly motivated recent college graduate or entry-level professional who's equally comfortable with words and numbers. You can write fun, educational, research-backed content that helps our members make better investment decisions while driving clicks to our platform partners. The ideal candidate has a passion for investing, cryptocurrency, Web3, and other alternative assets and is equally comfortable with words and numbers. This role is right for you if you're a right-and-left-brained writer who's eager to take initiative and make a real impact at a high-growth startup.
Your writing >Write 4 to 6 articles per week on topics related to investing with a focus on alternatives, including crypto and DeFi, stock picking, NFTs, real estate, collectibles (art, wine, whiskey, sneakers, sports cards), farmland, commodities, lending, and more
Incorporate interviews with experts in the field and our original data/research into your articles
Pitch article ideas based on SEO keywords and work with the content team to develop the angle and structure of your articles (with the assistance of SEO tools like SEMrush and surferSEO)
Turn in clean copy and work with editors to ensure your articles exemplify the MoneyMade voice, follow our >Help out on occasion with other writing duties such as newsletters, tweets, website copy, and platform profiles/reviews
Brainstorm creative ways to make our content more engaging and interactive in collaboration with our graphic designers and website developers
Junior writer requirements
Strong writing skills and ability to write about complex investing topics in a conversational, engaging way
Strong knowledge of grammar and AP >Interest in or previous exposure to finance, investing, crypto, Web3, and/or alternative investing
Previous writing experience for a consumer-focused publication
Previous internship or part-time position in relevant field
Writing samples related to finance, investing, crypto, Web3, or other alternative investments (farmland, real estate, collectibles, etc)
1-2 years experience in content or copywriting preferred, particularly in the financial or investing field Bonus points for SEO and content marketing experience; mention this in your response if you have it
