Intetics Inc., a leading global technology company providing custom software application development, distributed professional teams, software product quality assessment, and “all-things-digital” solutions, is looking for Androi/Flutter developer to work with one of our projects.

About the project:
A distributed storage system and application, from user perspective: like Dropbox, but from architecture/cost perspective it is Peer-to-Peer architecture so data is not stored in data centers but rather on hard disks of the users themselves.
The system includes comprehensive FEC encoding (Reed Solomon), Encryption, data distribution/seeding , a GUI for Windows, MAC, IOS and Android, and a server side management system and administration portal.
The architecture resembles certain Blockchain storage projects, however - we are targeting simple end consumers, not developer community - so it is much more robust and user friendly.
Also, since we already developed the entire storage infrastructure and data delivery protocol (UDP), and it has already been operational with millions of end users (for different use case/application - Video CDN) - the technology is already proven in the market and very robust.
So what remains for development are the backup applications and functionality and the comprehensive user management system, as well as further improvements in the core technology.
The core in the client is developed in C++, including the use of cross platform open source framework ACE, and GUI is based on Flutter.
The server side is Python and PhP, with databases and REDIS.
The bottom line for end user is that we are able to offer much cheaper and efficient storage than any other competitor which has to incur high Cloud costs, and is optimal for users that have very large amounts of data - mainly pictures, video - and require many Terabytes of storage (which today is very expensive in the cloud for such data volumes).
The project is done in collaboration with our customer - a publicly traded tech company in the US, who are already deep in the market of consumer electronics and are planning to offer this application to their users.

  • 5+ years - for low level android implementation of client
  • GUI using Flutter.
  • Advantages: C++, cross platform, networking, RestAPI
